“This move from Nassau Coliseum to the racetrack at Belmont Park offers many advantages,” said Andy Calimano, owner of Starfish Junction. “The new venue offers mass transit options that were not available for the Uniondale facility and free parking for attendees, two things that will make the festival-goers very happy,” added Calimano.

The biggest names in international brewing are embracing the change of venue and are excited to be joining in on the festivities. This year’s international beer tasting extravaganza will showcase breweries from more than twenty countries, each providing samples of their country’s proudest brewing achievements. Shoulder to shoulder with some of America’s best breweries-including many Long Island favorites-will be amazing beer from Scotland, England, Germany, Italy, Canada, France, Belgium, Spain, Ireland, Czech Republic, China, Japan, Mexico, and others.

While the U.S. beer industry continues to battle for highly coveted market share with the wines and spirits category, the range of styles offered by the imports are attracting many new fans and enthusiasts. “We want to help introduce Long Islanders to some great imports and with the new location, this will be our best Expo yet,” said Calimano. “Long Island has really grown as a craft beer destination. Our local breweries will be joined by some of the best breweries from around the globe. Attendees at this year’s Expo are in for an amazing experience,” he added.

In addition to the beer tastings, attendees are invited to participate in some entertaining and educational programming held during the event.
