Pelican Brands Announces New Distribution Into 16 Markets For Napa Smith Beer

Carmel, IN, USA – October 13, 2010 – Further to the announcement of its agreement to acquire Napa Smith Brewery & Winery, Pelican Brands is pleased to confirm that its first tranche of distribution expansion outside Northern California has been successfully secured. The Company announced today that Napa Smith’s portfolio of award winning craft beer is now winning favor with consumers far outside its home turf of the Napa Valley and the Bay Area.

Don C. Hammond, President of Pelican Brands said,  “Since we brought Napa Smith into the Pelican Brands fold, we have worked hard to identify long term partners to bring its wonderful brews to new markets and consumers. Of course, the logical first step was to commence developing the market in Southern California and we are proud to be partnered in this endeavor with Wine Warehouse. One of the great attractions of Napa Smith is that it bears all the hallmarks of a brand with national potential.”  Hammond continued, “I am pleased to announce that Napa Smith Beer is now on sale in 16 states with some of the industry’s most respected names in distribution.”

Steve Morgan, President of Napa Smith, confirmed that the brand is now offered in 16 markets: California, Hawaii, Illinois, Oklahoma, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Florida, Delaware, Maryland, Kentucky, Indiana, Arizona, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and the District of Columbia.
