Camino operates a popular taproom and historic outdoor beer garden located in downtown San Jose, CA. Additionally the Brewery distributes both kegged and canned beer to restaurants, bars, markets, and chain stores including Safeway, Whole Foods, Total Wine and More, New Seasons, and Knob Hill.
We are a growing company with a great team, fun working environment, and strong Ethos based on the Founders’ 1,900 mile cycling pilgrimage along the Camino de Santiago trail.
We are seeking a leader for our team to plan, prioritize, and execute high level finance tasks as well as manage the daily financial operations of the Brewery.
This role will serve as strategic Advisor to the CEO/Co-Founders. As Finance Manager you have the opportunity to make things happen, and to be part of a growing company.
Preparing profit and loss models and other management reports
Perform budgeting variances and forecasting analysis for various levels of management.
Deep understanding of Industry specific KPIs
Ensuring that we deliver on key financial goals
Leads and is responsible for internal control, cost analysis, and supplier management.
TTB, Federal Excise and California Tax fillings
Closing the monthly books accurately
Manage Accounts Payables and Accounts Receivables.
Prepare monthly strategic reports including P and L’s, Cash Flow Statements, and Balance Sheets, as well as industry reports that effectively communicate trends of the business and provide options/outlook for a path forward.
Significant beverage industry/Manufacturing experience a plus
Experience with KPI(s) and trend spotting
Experience with data analytics tools
Experience in logistics
Effective communicator, both in person and in writing
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business is preferred, or equivalent work experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
Must have 3-5 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping, or similar technical skills.
Knowledge in computerized accounting and experience in Xero accounting software is a plus, as well as MS Word and MS Excel.
Knowledge in Brewery Management Software (Ekos is a plus)
Ideal candidates must demonstrate responsiveness, tact, diplomacy, good judgment and confidentiality with all levels of staff, owners and customers.
This is a contract or PT position to start and may lead to a full time position, work from home office, and frequently onsite at the brewery, during normal brewery business hours (8 AM - 6 PM Monday-Friday) Candidate must be willing to adapt to changes in schedules and work additional hours as operations dictate. The work environment requires frequent and regular computer and phone use.
Preference will be given to candidates familiar with brewery management software, point of Sale and online store systems, and accounting software.
Compensation is commensurate with experience. Camino Brewing intends to roll out a medical vision, dental benefits, and stock options.
