Cerebral Brewing is an award-winning craft brewery located in the heart of the Bluebird district of Denver, Colorado with a production facility underway in the Aurora Arts District. Our goal is to combine scientific methodology with an artistic viewpoint to create extremely drinkable beers spanning a broad spectrum of styles - including, but not limited to, Foeder-Fermented Lagers, New England-inspired IPAs and Barrel Aged Stouts.

Cerebral Brewing is looking to add a talented and motivated Sales Team Manager to our team to further the growth of our nationally recognized and award winning brand.

Job Overview

The Sales Team Manager is responsible for setting and executing overall sales strategy to drive growth in the market in alignment with Cerebral Brewing’s mission, vision and values. This role will be responsible for directly managing a team of Sales Territory Managers as well as the Delivery Driver and working closely with other functions of the business including Operations, Production, and Marketing.

Essential Job Functions

  • Coordinate with Operations Manager and Ownership to develop annual business plan, budgets and quarterly sales goals. Ensure progress against goals through effective communication, coordination, follow through & leadership

  • Work closely with Operations Manager to establish overall sales strategy:

    • Focus on market and account sizing & segmentation, product placement, and revenue growth management (ie pipeline management, lead to close rates, etc)

    • Analyze current market presence, identify gaps and opportunities, and execute tactics to address while remaining aligned with overall brand values

    • Develop and implement Sales Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

    • Study and evaluate competitive landscape of craft beer market to supply context for strategic decision-making

    • Demonstrate an understanding of fundamentals of pricing & margin strategy

  • Hire, train, supervise, and develop sales staff - including but not limited to:

    • Build strong team cohesion by listening, learning, and coaching - enhancing an environment of personal and professional achievement by driving toward improvement

    • Delegate and coordinate with sales team to consistently monitor AR and keg fleet

    • Oversee maintenance of company vehicles (including preventative maintenance)

  • Guide weekly sales activity in concert with various departments:

    • Converse with Operations Manager regarding production volume, draft and package demand, inventory allocations and sales volume

    • Interface with Marketing Manager for branding and social media support

    • Connect with Lead Brewer regarding product information and beer education

    • Hold Sales Territory Managers accountable for overseeing inventory in the market - confirm that Cerebral product is fresh and in proper rotation

  • Continuously perform quantitative and qualitative assessments of the department and position’s efforts

Qualifications

  • Natural self starter with a propensity for strategic thinking

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the craft beer industry and emerging trends

  • Experience in opportunity and problem recognition, analysis, and solution planning as it relates to leading a sales team

  • Minimum of 3 years of Management success and experience with a combined total of 5 years of Alcohol/Beverage Sales experience

  • Proven track record of strategy development & execution, account management, territory development, and people management & development

  • An inherent sense of urgency and ability to drive action in a timely fashion

  • Ability to take initiative and work with a limited amount of direction; ability to work both independently and within a team collaboratively to accomplish goals

  • A love for Cerebral Brewing and our commitment to quality beers, relentless improvement, each other, and market excellence

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

  • Flexible schedule: available to work evenings/nights as needed

  • Position requires computer proficiency – proficient in Microsoft office suite, Google suite, mobile apps, and CRM


Salary & Benefits

  • $65,000 - Adjusted based on education, experience and performance
