Sales Representative Southern California

Proof Positive is seeking an exceptional Sales Representative to join our team. Ideal candidates will be enthusiastic about growing new brands in emerging categories in a fun and fast paced environment.  You will work directly with the VP of Sales and distributor sales personnel to help grow our brands through valued retailers.  This will include launching new products across many categories in Bev Alc and working with our entire team to execute our brand building efforts at the retail level.  Building distributor & retailer relationships will be key.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with distributor personnel and key retail accounts
  • Will be responsible for growing distribution and volume in assigned territory and execute promotions to support
  • Daily account relationship management with new and existing accounts, ability to develop and maintain relationships with key managers/buyers at target accounts
  • Responsible for driving and improving the visibility of our brands in assigned territory
  • Assist VP of Sales in executing business plans to meet annual goals and drive share of mind and accountability with distributors
  • Ensure proper merchandising and brand standards at retail
  • Schedule and execute wholesaler work withs to drive execution and share of mind
  • Establish weekly and monthly target account lists and sales goals, and ability to achieve and execute on such goals

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 3+ years of sales experience
  • Proven work experience within the Three Tier system, preferably in Beer/Wine Category with knowledge of Southern California market
  • Strong written and oral communication, including ability to develop and deliver wholesaler level presentations
  • Excellent organizational skills, maintain an efficient schedule to drive toward monthly, quarterly and yearly territory goals
  • Proven record of cultivating strong retailer and wholesaler relationships
  • Quick learner and self-starter with ability to complete duties independently
  • Positive, can-do attitude: Able to work effectively with teammates at all different levels of the company
  • Conversant in Spanish a plus

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

  • Home office
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have own vehicle with valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Ability to travel (estimated at least 40% of his/her work time) and capable of driving up to 5 hours
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly and 50 lbs briefly
  • Able to work standing for several hours at a time
