Role: Brewer / Cellar Person to work in Frog Alley Brewing in Schenectady, New York.

About Us:
Frog Alley's brewery and taproom in Schenectady, NY opened in December of 2018. With our 20 hectoliter brewhouse and 5 hectoliter pilot system, we will continue to brew and release crowd favorites as well as experimental small batch beers.

The Role:
Frog Alley is looking for an eager and hard-working brewer / cellar person to work as part of our production team. The ideal candidate is motivated, detail-oriented, and has a desire to learn more about all aspects of brewing. One to two years of cellar or brewing experience is preferred. Distilling experience is a plus.

Maintain a safe and clean work space throughout the brewery
Perform Clean in Place and Sanitize in Place processes for brewery vessels
Develop and brew recipes on 5 hl and 20 hl systems as needed
Sanitary transfer of wort and beer in process
Operate forklift to receive materials
Organize and maintain cold and dry storage spaces
Assist the with brewhouse and packaging operations
Meticulously collect data on the beer throughout the brewing, cellaring and packaging processes
Recording fermentation data in Beer30 software.
Operate semi-automated keg washer / filler
Document production runs
Operate flash pasteurizer
Assist in canning runs and order fulfillment
Dry-hopping and fruiting beers on a lift.
Contribute to a positive work environment through open and constructive dialog
Communicate issues and concerns as they arise with staff and management
Attend company events as needed

Must be able and willing to work a variable shift schedule that is dependent upon the operational needs of the brewery, which could include weekends, holidays, and night shifts
Fanatical about cleanliness, quality control, and safety
Enthusiastic and comfortable working for an rapidly growing company
Strong attention to detail
Prior forklift operation experience and/or readiness to learn
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a cellar or brewing role preferred
Must be 21 years of age or older
Ability to lift 55 pounds
