Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Direct the customer experience and all things hospitality
Meet with guests on an informal basis to obtain feedback on the quality of product, service levels and overall satisfaction.
Handle guest problems, complaints, or issues
Educate visitors about our products, company and culture
Seek out partnerships with local vendors to elevate customer experience
2. Operate as a leader in the development of taproom team and staff
Select, train, and coach staff
Manage the performance of individuals through clear communication and relaying expectations
Identify the educational needs of others, assist with implementing educational or training programs or classes
Develop team goals
3. Direct taproom events
Seek out event opportunities to strengthen community engagement
Manage the special events team
Initiate programs to increase consumer traffic and engagement
4. Prepare taproom analytics
Direct taproom schedule and staffing needs through labor forecasting
Work with CFO to understand financials and determine budget and financial objectives as they relate to overall brewery goal
Contribute to the beer planning process by making style and quantity recommendations driven by taproom data and analyses
5. Oversight of operational excellence
- Familiarity with, and team training on local, state and Federal liquor laws
- Initiate and participate in quality control activities.
- Ensure inventory procedures for all products are being followed
Job Specification:
Skill and Knowledge:
Strong knowledge of and a passion for craft beer and the brewing industry
Excellent verbal and written communication
Proficient math skills and ability to use a POS system (Square)
Proficient in standard document and spreadsheet programs
Proficient in draft system maintenance and functionality
At least two years of experience in customer service and management
Personal Competencies:
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Communicate effectively with customers, management and co-workers
Remain calm under pressure when dealing with customers or staff
Be a strong and trusting team leader
Maintain relationships with outside groups and vendors
Strong problem solving skills
Supervision:

Duties are given in the form of broad goals or areas of responsibility
Hours, Travel and Physical Requirements:
Work weekends, evenings and events (local and regional)
Work in a standing position for long periods of time
Frequently lift up to 55 pounds
