What we want:

We are looking to add a Canning Line Operator to join our production team! Graft Cider is located in the Hudson Valley in Newburgh, NY. The Canning Line Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining the canning line in a safe and efficient manner.  The ideal candidate will be mechanically minded, efficient, driven, team oriented, positive, & organized individual.


Prerequisites:

Production

  • (Minimum) 1 year of beverage production such as beer/ cider/ wine/ carbonated water/ kombucha

  • Experience operating a packaging/canning line (we use a Wild Goose 250/Alpha 100) 

  • Experience operating industrial equipment; such as forklifts, canning lines, keg washers.

  • Machinery maintenance experience and ability to work with tech support and machine manuals

  • Other production tasks, CIP, Kegging, Cider Transfers, Building packaging materials. 


Education & Skills

  • Comfortable utilizing computer systems, specifically Google Drive/ Google Docs/ Sheets/ G-Mail, etc. 

  • Capable of receiving written/ oral instructions/ tasks, execute said tasks and if need be problem solve with minimal assistance. 

Personal

  • Clean and valid driver’s license, have a vehicle

  • Ability to work rotating shifts and adjust schedule to meet production demands

  • Dedication to meet all deadlines

  • Ability to lift 50lbs


Job Tasks (include but not limited to):

  • Lead operator on canning line

  • Doing quality control checks on packaged cider during run

  • Working with manufacturers to solve machine problems as they arise

  • Ensure line is working efficiently and that SOPs are followed

  • Making sure maintenance schedules are followed for all critical machinery

  • Working to maintain a healthy and positive work environment

  • Maintain an immaculately clean and safe work environment

  • Electronic Record keeping

Compensation:  Pay commensurate on experience.
