Flying Embers is looking for someone to own the performance management and analytics of our fast growing national sales team.  Equal parts goal setting, measuring, and planning; you’ll be at the center of our business intelligence and operations.  As the owner of our sales dashboards; you have the opportunity to lead the analysis of data at all points within the three tier system to uncover game-changing insights and be a critical player to ensure those insights get turned into actions and results.  You’ll work closely with the leadership team to analyze the business, make recommendations on how to improve the strategy, and work cross-functionally with sales, operations, and marketing teams to improve the performance of products already in market as well as commercialize and analyze new innovations.  You will be part of the critical routines to ensure sales and operations are forecasted accurately and sales and marketing are investing effectively.  You will also collaborate with the regional sales team and national accounts directors to build impactful business plans and sales stores for our distributor and retail partners.  This is a unique opportunity to lead the analysis and intelligence to build one of the most exciting, innovative and fast growing brands disrupting the alcohol category.  


Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales dashboard management, KPI tracking, insights mining, and scorecard reporting 
  • Sales <> Operations demand planning routine and maintain sales forecast  
  • Price & promotion tracking and strategy implementation
  • Drive annual planning process with cross-functional team and joint business planning process with Wholesaler partners
  • Sales effectiveness analysis (ROI on spends, incentives, competitive benchmarking)

  • Mastery of VIP, Neilson/IRI,iDig platforms,syndicated data, and depletion data analysis 
  • Familiarity with the state registration, new item submissions, and S&OP processes

  • Qualifications:

  • Must be 21+ years of age
  • Must live in greater Los Angeles area, with the ability to commute to Ventura CA at least 2-3 days a week 
  • Expert in VIP and beer data systems and Microsoft Excel and data analytics tools
  • Ability to read and interpret syndicated data and 3-tier price and margin trees 
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in alcohol beverage; beer, seltzer, cider category preferred
