Responsible for managing the daily activities in the brewery
Ensures that the facility (pub and brewery) is welcoming and clean
Interfaces with vendors
Collaboration with other brewers
Manage beer festivals/ events with SM team
Production management and sales including outside keg accounts, canning line, events etc.
Creative naming, artwork, label design of beers.
Reports to the Chief Executive Officers on forecasting growth.
Attends to customers complaints and inquiries
Responsible for brewery training and development in the organization
Responsible for inventory management (weekly meeting to discuss ordering with Gary)
Manage record keeping for tax and ABC purposes
Handles any other duty as assigned by the CEOs
At least 12 hrs/week inside the taproom to interact with customers as part of the face of the brand.
Working with and training cellarmen position.
Helping maintain memberships.
Ensure shift brewing and filtration quality standards are met.
Manage brew and CIP timing to ensure shortest cycle times.
Manage SAP to keep production orders up to date and accurate with appropriate raw materials.
Proper use of PPE and safety protocols for cleaning, brewing and cellaring.
Monitor inventory on raw materials for current and next shifts production.
Coordinate with QA staff on yeast management and product checks.
Maintain a clean and organized brewery.
Manage brew logs and recipes both on network drive and SAP for current raw materials usage and hitting process targets.
Previous brewing experience, education, or a strong passion for home brewing.
Clean, organized and willing to learn.
Computer proficient.
Attention to detail.
Ability to troubleshoot and think through problems
Discipline to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including overnights or weekends.
Able to work in an active brewery, which can be loud, hot or cold, and buzzing with activity
The employee must regularly lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
Specific abilities in this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, as well as depth perception and ability to adjust focus
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk: climb; use hands to finger, handle, or feel: reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, and hear.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to a damp environment with hot liquids, airborne particles, chemicals and moving machinery. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
