SUMMARY
This position involves the barrel aging and small projects program at Boulevard brewing company. A successful candidate must be a good communicator and show the ability to be highly self-motivated. Also able to work both alone and within a team setting across multiple departments and facilities.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES
· Filling and emptying barrels
· Receiving and shipping barrels
· Running equipment including setup, changeover, shutdown, and CIP procedures
· Creating and completing small brewing projects
· Assist and/ or perform in 750 ml Bottling line, hand racking of kegged beer production and product packaging
· Maintaining multiple off site wood and fermentation cellars
· Perform operator-level maintenance on equipment
· Driving to the brewery and off site barrel aging facilities when needed, sometimes daily
· Moving goods between facilities with a truck
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND ABILILITIES REQUIRED
· 1-2 years as a professional brewer is preferred, or knowledge of the brewing process
· Must be willing to obtain a CDL class B license
· Clean driving history
· Ability to continuously lift 55 pounds and handle large amounts of whiskey barrels
· Willing to work a flexible shift, sometimes requiring overtime
· Self-motivation and ability to work independently and with limited direction
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Full-time 40 hrs per week
· Weekend work may be required
