A new brewpub concept will be opening near the end of 2021 2 blocks away from Chicago's Magnificent Mile and we are seeking someone to fill a unique role in the business in our fledgling days and perhaps further on. The program we would like to open with is ambitious and creative, just like the person we are looking to hire for this position. You would be responsible only to the 3 managing partners, who's core beliefs about success include allowing a Smith of their (any) trade room to be creative in order to get the best product.

The job itself is a choose your own adventure story up for negotiation in terms of length and depth of involvement, payment structure will be based on the agreements reached about length of employment as well as experience. Essentially we are looking for an experienced professional to come in and educate one of the managing partners on how to run a 15bbl brewhouse from purchasing to packaging in a commercial setting. In addition you would be responsible for developing procedures and schedules that can be used to maximize cleanliness, productivity and efficiency in your absence. Ideally we would like to sign a contract for 6 months to a year with the option to revisit and renegotiate at its conclusion. Potential changes could include a full time salaried position with equal say in production and development of our beer. A brief summary of Requirements:

**A high level of experience in all matters of running a functional brewhouse, enough that educating someone to be a commercial brewer is a concept you are comfortable with**

Recipe Development - with a focus on the ability to scale recipes
Brewhouse Operations – 15 bbl brewhouse, must have 5 years of experience or more on a comparable system
Raw Materials Procurement and Ordering

Maintaining Inventory
Equipment Maintenance and CIP procedures
Cellaring & Packaging
Tax Compliance, Record Keeping & Reporting

Basic lab skills with an extensive knowledge of all procedures and tests required to run a brewery

Desired Skills:
