Job Description – Mikkeller Tasting Room Manager

Mikkeller Brewing in San Diego, CA is looking for someone to run our tasting room. The perfect candidate needs to be a master at driving customer experience, accountable, goal oriented, killer at executing beer releases and events, and have a personality that is as big and bold as our beers. This is a full-time position that is 45+ hours a week and located at our tasting room in Miramar

Typical duties of the position include:

  • Inventory
  • Scheduling of all employees and processing tasting room payroll
  • Report analytics for sales, goals to budget, and trends
  • Handle general oversight and direction of team members
  • Assist with hiring, human resources and sta? recruitment
  • Aid in growing our beer club memberships
  • Training beertenders to deliver our guests the Mikkeller experience
  • All other duties as assigned by management


  • 2+ years’ experience in a lead or management position for a tasting room or restaurant
  • 2+ years’ in scheduling and employee management
  • Cash handling and retail reconciliation experience required
  • Basic level excel user and familiar with POS systems, square experience preferred
  • Knowledgeable on all major Social Media platforms
  • Knowledgeable and passionate about beer
  • Be able to lift 50 lbs. and able to stand for long periods of time.
