Champion Brewing Company is seeking to add a highly driven, detail oriented individual to join our team as a Second Shift Brewer/Cellarman. This is a full time, salaried position which reports directly to our Lead Brewer and Production Manager.
Hours: Approximately 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday.
Compensation: Competitive salary, company provided health insurance, paid vacation, paid sick leave, paid company holidays.
Responsibilities/Duties include but not limited to:
Wort production and CIP on a 30 BBL Premier Stainless steam fired brewhouse.
Operating Wild Goose WG250 canning line.
Canning line CIP and manual cleaning.
Grain handling including receiving of bulk silo deliveries.
Strict adherence to existing SOPs.
Tank CIP, SIP and other cellar work.
Keg washing and filling.
Forklift and pallet jack operation.
Assist in inter-company beer deliveries to Champion’s various Charlottesville locations.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Required Abilities, Skills, etc:
Must possess previous brewing experience.
Must possess previous packaging line operator experience. Wild Goose canning line experience is preferred.
Must be able to lift 55 lbs repeatedly and maneuver 175 lb kegs.
Must be able to work entire shift in a non climate controlled environment.
Ability to successfully work independently with little supervision as well as work under the close supervision of our Lead Brewer.
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Ability to work flexible hours (both morning and evening shifts)
Must be self motivated and possess good time management skills.
Must be able to manage multiple processes in a fast-paced, loud production environment.
Must possess strong attention to detail.
Minimum of High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
Must possess a current driver’s license and have a clean driving record.
