COOP Ale Works is an eleven-year-old production/packaging craft brewery located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma’s heartbeat and home of a growing craft beer scene. Current distribution includes Oklahoma, Nebraska, Kansas, Arkansas, Missouri and Texas. As we grow into new concepts, new markets and new beers, one of our goals is to continue to build the root structure of our brands, our beers and our reputation as a leading craft brewery. The Director of Marketing will direct our Portfolio Managers and Events Team to develop marketing and branding strategies. The successful candidate will work closely with the sales leadership, clients, management, creative and content teams, and distribution partners, to create an effective and efficient marketing strategy focused on growing audiences for all current and future products.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of company marketing plans
  • Work directly with, and collaborate with, corporate leadership and sales leadership on new product development and go-to-market strategic development
  • Collaborate with the business team to uncover insights and strategies to develop and implement marketing and branding strategies for new and existing products, internally and externally
  • Oversee and grow the marketing department, consistently identifying revenue opportunities within our established client base and managing consistent growth
  • Identify short-term and long-term scheduling, budget, and resource needs
  • Develop and manage the annual marketing budget, which includes advertising, sponsorships, branding, travel and other operating expenses
  • Understand key marketing performance metrics and tracking tools to provide market research, forecasts, competitive analyses, campaign results, and consumer trends in order to translate results into actionable insights for marketing and sales teams, including ROI
  • Hold regular meetings with account managers to review pipeline, resolve challenges, and present possible solutions, and provide ongoing training to ensure team consistently performs above standard
  • Attend and participate at conventions, conferences, and tradeshows, preparing engaging displays and collateral as needed, and providing post-event reports and analysis
  • Supervise the department and provide guidance, feedback and mentorship to other marketing professionals within the company and within partner entities

 

Candidate Qualifications

  • Absolute (don’t apply without these)
    • BSc/BA in business administration, marketing and communications or relevant field
    • A minimum of five years’ proven experience as Marketing Director
    • Excellent leadership and organization skills
    • Analytical and creative thinking
    • Exquisite communication and interpersonal skills
    • Mastery of current and online marketing techniques and best practices
    • Mastery of Microsoft Office products, primarily Excel and PowerPoint

       

  • Preferred
    • Professional chartered marketer (CIM)
    • SEO and PPC experience
    • Excellent broad scope business acumen
    • Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite products
