Cerebral Brewing is looking for a Sales Manager that is a highly motivated self-starter with a passion for great beer. The Sales Manager is responsible for promoting sales, the Cerebral brand and achieving target volume goals. This position does not have a regular set schedule and will include nights and weekends. You will be required to adapt your schedule to meet the needs of the position.
Job Overview
A Sales Territory Manager is a highly motivated self-starter with a passion for great beer. The primary purpose of this position is to grow Cerebral Brewing’s distribution footprint in alignment with brand values and overall sales strategy. The sales territory manager is responsible for opening and maintaining on- and off-premise accounts within their territory that will best represent the brand, support Cerebral Brewing’s focus on quality, cater to our target market, and prioritize consumer education and experience. The territory manager will meet or exceed target revenue and activity goals through self-distributed sales to accounts within their specific sales territory. The role does not have a regular set schedule and requires adaptation to meet the needs of the position.
Responsibilities and Duties
Demonstrate strong product knowledge on all existing and new beer releases - conduct ongoing brand training with retailers and consumers as needed
Reference sales strategy regarding specialty products - identify best placement for unique, rare, and high-priced beers
Regularly prospect new accounts and seek out growth opportunities
Participate in team conversations about sales strategy - use in-the-field experience, market feedback, industry and market knowledge to provide perspective on strategic sales decisions
Create and schedule a variety of quality events within account base to help grow both the brand and sales - partner with Marketing Manager to promote said events
Efficiently manage one’s own deliveries, events, weekly/monthly schedule, etc
Adhere to and use discretion regarding quarterly spending budget
Perform administrative tasks including but not limited to:
Accurate invoicing
Keg tracking
AR payment collection consistent with invoiced terms (e.g. Net30, Due on Receipt, etc…)
Check tracking (tying checks received to invoices issued)
Expense reports
Keep thorough, up-to-date notes and data in the CRM - including account contact info, new and closed accounts, and potential leads
Maintain company vehicles: keep clean and organized, schedule regular service and maintenance
Commit to continued education and development in both sales and beer knowledge
Assist at all in-house events and festivals as needed
Qualifications
Must be able to represent Cerebral Brewing in a professional and responsible manner
Excellent oral, analytical, written, and communication skills
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Flexible schedule: available to work evenings/nights as needed
Strong knowledge of craft beer, the industry, and its retail customers (knowledge / connections with Denver market is a plus)
Education/Experience: BS/BA in business administration, marketing, communications or relevant field or 4+ years experience in outside sales
Position requires computer proficiency – proficient in Microsoft office suite, Google suite, mobile apps, and CRM
