The Camino Brewing Company is an emerging production brewery located near downtown San Jose, CA, in the heart of Silicon Valley. The company was inspired by attorneys Nathan Poulos and Allen Korenstein's 1,900 mile bicycle journey across the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage trail in Northern Spain.    

Camino is seeking an experienced Office Manager/Bookkeeper, for employment to work directly with the CEO, Chief of Operations, and the outsourced CFO. Responsibilities include managing the day-to-day financial functions of the brewery. The ideal candidate has experience with startup companies, has a strong work ethic, and pays meticulous attention to detail. 


Essential Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage Accounts Receivables and Collections

  • Manage Purchasing  

  • Manage Accounts Payables   

  • Manage Payroll   

  • Manage Rent and Triple Net Payments

  • Manage online store inventory 

  • Reconcile all cash and credit payments

  • Reconcile daily cash generated by taproom

  • Reconcile petty cash

  • Administration and payment of licenses and fees, insurances, and other similar administrative needs. 

  • Administration and payment of ongoing government compliance requirements including CA Recycling Fees, Sales Tax, and Excise Tax.   

  • Administration of human resources functions (for a small office);

  • Administration of 1099s for contractors

  • Maintain integrity of business systems (Sales POS and Online Store, Beer Production and Inventory, and Accounting systems).   

  • Provide regular financial reporting including Balance Sheets and P and L Statements to company leadership.   

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Must have 3-5 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger and financial reports.

  • Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism.

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements of processing payroll accounting transactions and payroll returns.

  • Must be able to keep business and financial matters strictly confidential.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Effective time management, organizational, and leadership skills.

  • Knowledge in computerized accounting and experience in Xero is a plus, as well as MS Word and MS Excel.

  • Knowledge in Brewery Management Software (OB or Ekos is a plus)  

  • Ideal candidates must demonstrate responsiveness, tact, diplomacy, good judgment and confidentiality with all levels of staff, owners and customers.

This is PT position to start 20 hours per week and may lead to a full time position, work from home, and periodically onsite at the brewery, during normal brewery business hours (8 AM - 4 PM) Candidate must be willing to adapt to changes in schedules and work additional hours as operations dictate. The work environment requires frequent and regular computer and phone use.


Preference will be given to candidates familiar with brewery management software, point of Sale and online store systems, and accounting software. 



Compensation is commensurate with experience. Camino Brewing intends to roll out a medical benefit program in 2021.
