Raised Grain Brewing Co. is an award-winning craft brewery located in Waukesha, Wisconsin, that is dedicated to producing a wide range of exciting craft beers and hard seltzers. Since opening our doors in fall of 2015, we have completed multiple expansions with a current capacity of over 11,000 barrels/year. Our beers are currently distributed across southern Wisconsin through a network of five distributors, and are available at our Waukesha Taproom and our Pop-Up Beer Gardens during the summer.

Position Overview

We believe that beer brings people together to celebrate life, and we are looking for someone that is passionate about craft beer and bringing other people together to celebrate.

The Sales Manager will report directly to company ownership and is expected to devise and execute a company sales strategy aimed at establishing and supporting relationships with distribution partners and retail accounts. The Sales Manager will be responsible for managing and directing Brewery Reps to execute the company sales plan, and coordinating with and motiv.

Essential Job Functions

  • Planning and implementing comprehensive strategic sales initiatives
  • Aligning distributor sales team objectives with the brewery's brand identity and sales plans
  • Developing, budgeting, and implementing creative and effective sales strategies to achieve customer awareness and reach the brewery's sales goals
  • Identifying potential new accounts, establishing contact, and providing support for product and events as per the sales initiative
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key accounts
  • Monitoring and managing inventory and coordinating with distributors to ensure timely sell-through, distribution runs smoothly, and that accounts are satisfied and well taken care of
  • Work with production team to coordinate monthly orders from distributors
  • Organizing and managing both on and off-site account visits and events
  • Completing and submitting weekly and monthly market visit recaps and reports, quarterly goals and other necessary reports
  • Establishing and running regular sales meetings
  • Observing all state and federal laws pertaining to the sale, merchandising and promotion of beer

    Management Responsibilities

  • Building and managing a dedicated sales team, setting performance goals according to company sales objectives
  • Develop Annual Business Plans for each distributor with volume, distribution, and budget goals
  • Collecting and reporting competitive market data to ownership
  • Participating in production forecasting, acting as a bridge between market needs and production scheduling
  • Providing detailed weekly sales reports and account status, as well as strategy updates and changes


  • 5+ years of beer sales experience
  • 2+ years of sales management experience
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, growing company
  • Very strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Public speaking skills
  • Highly organized and methodical
  • Ability to work nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays as necessary to support sales activities
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, reliable car, and current car insurance
  • Must be 21 or older
