We are looking for a strategic Vice President of Operations who can drive the company’s operational goals and production needs in a fast-paced ever-changing environment. The VP Ops will report to and work closely with the CEO to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes and personnel. The VP Ops will partner with Sales and Finance to ensure forecasting, quality, and supply chain are running optimally. In addition, the VP Ops is responsible for creating strategies and directing activities such that business growth and profitability are ensured. The ideal candidate will build a success-oriented, accountable environment within the company, all with a positive can-do attitude. 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide day-to-day leadership that drives the company to achieve and surpass financial and operational objectives set by the CEO  
  • Assist the CEO in setting strategic direction, high-level priority setting and decision-making
  • Work hand in hand with Finance to run the budgeting process and effectively manage all aspects of the corporation’s financial operations
  • Responsible for capital planning and expenditures
  • Lead the company’s operations and improve processes in the areas of purchasing, manufacturing (including timely recording of production), inventory planning, sales fulfillment and distribution
  • Work with Finance team to assist with monthly inventory reconciliation process
  • Oversee all aspects of the corporation’s operations including quality control, order fulfillment, margin improvement and vendor-partner relations
  • Provide timely, accurate and complete records on the operating condition of the corporation to the CEO
  • Create and measure operating KPI’s driving continuous improvement
  • Motivate and lead a high-performance team; attract, recruit and retain top talent; provide mentoring as cornerstone to the development of managers and building management depth for the company

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 8 – 10 years’ experience in a manufacturing-oriented CPG environment – brewing /bottling company experience preferred
  • Must possess risk mitigation and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated strategic planning experience
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills
  • Have confidence and ability to make presentations to board and investors/investors
  • Demonstrated talent to lead people and obtain results
  • Exceptional oral and written presentation skills
