Sales Representative



The role of the Sales Representative is be the front line in providing industry leading service to Homegrown Distribution customers.  The role will develop a high-end portfolio of alcoholic beverages with a primary focus on beer within an assigned territory.



  • Maintain contact, communication, and relationships with customers (on and off-premise) and Director of Sales & Marketing
  • Execute directed programming to help obtain distribution and volume goals
  • Develop customers knowledge of HGD portfolio and maintain specified frequency call goal
  • Utilize and maintain sales orders and data via route accounting software (Encompass)
  • Help execute key tastings, wait staff trainings, promotions, and beer dinners
  • Ensure proper merchandising of customers with paper and permanent point of sale
  • Develop proper pricing strategies for portfolio
  • Monitor beer code dates of beer in trade, ensure all product is rotated and fresh
  • Responsible for accounts receivable within assigned territory
  • Act as a trusted business consultant to assigned customers
  • Represent HGD and brewery partners within the local community in a responsible and charitable fashion
  • Monthly administrative paperwork will be required


Skills and Experience:

  • Previous sales experience, beer knowledge a plus
  • Attention to detail is a must
  • Above average ability to problem solve
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Competitive in nature, wants to win
  • Confident and willing to question conventional wisdom
  • Enjoy a very fast paced environment and adapt to change
  • Strong team player able to work across multiple functions and disciplines



  • Valid and clean driver license
  • Bachelor’s degree in business
  • Willingness to work unconventional hours
  • Ability to consume responsibly
