Reporting directing to the President of the company, The Packaging Manager will work closely with our Barrel Manager and production team in taking our aged whiskies to a final stage for sale. The best person for this role should be passionate about whiskey, have a diverse set of skills, a rapport within a team environment and have solid leadership qualities. Role and Responsibilities

• Hiring, supervising and managing a packaging team of four to six people
• Setup and breakdown of bottling and labeling equipment and related materials
• Confirming inventory, building, documenting and final preparation of shipments to customers based on incoming purchase orders
• Maintaining accurate bi-monthly and monthly inventories of all in-process and finished product
• Supply chain management from packaging materials to waste products
• Recording gains/losses of finished product
• Monthly/quarterly harvest planning with President and Barrel Manager
• Achieving weekly and monthly production goals to ensure the finished goods are delivered on time
• Working closely with barrel management, participate in blending and sensory to ensure the highest quality standards are consistently met
• Reporting and presenting all bi-monthly and monthly quantities directly to upper management

Requirements

• Ability to build solid working relationships with internal and external stakeholders that demonstrate understanding of the business, priorities, and dynamics to help them be successful

• Two to four years packaging experience in beverage or food industries
• Management experience of people, supply chains and logistics
• Goal oriented, accountable and personable
• Dedication to accuracy, protocols and efficient systems
• Proficiency with forklift, pallet jack and hand truck
• Proficiency with, or ability to learn, internal bottling and packaging applications
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and general computer skills
• Demonstrated mechanical and problem solving abilities
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds, work on your feet for extended periods of time and move quickly and efficiently
