Summary: Support Sales Vice President to confirm/meet Supplier agreed objectives and support Sales Finance Director to leverage business insight to optimize supplier business performance.  Manages and analyzes the sales and operations for a specific supplier portfolio which will encompass both financial and commercial/business information. Collaborate and communicate with both Supplier team and RNDC team to achieve objectives.  Manage direct report team; business work flows; standard of operations; reports; technology solutions; and appropriate recordkeeping for compliance reasons.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (additional responsibilities may be assigned)

Portfolio Management

  • Develops brand plan calendars and incentives to drive Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and communicates progress on KPIs and sales execution
  • Updates/maintains sales forecasts on key brands and suppliers to cover programs, including SORFs and MARS inputs to ensure proper inventory levels
  • Manages Pre-Sells, Holiday VAP orders, and Allocated Items, as needed, for the assigned portfolio
  • Coordinates and manages supplier review meetings; provides written meeting recaps; and communicates follow-up steps internally and externally
  • Manages POS orders to support market programs; coordinates new item set up and launches for all sales divisions
  • Maintains current list of supplier portfolio contacts
  • Surveys market with Sales Management and Supplier Partners to monitor execution of programs and identify market opportunities on a regular basis
  • Performs other related duties and responsibilities, as assigned

Financial Management
Maximize profitability

  • Leads the financial management and overall business analysis process including risk and opportunities assessment, reporting and analysis, and communication to both internal and external customers. Ensure adherence to RNDC corporate prescribed financial processes and guidance
  • Manage Supplier profitability. This would include managing the profit index and profit point objectives, while making sure that the RNDC margins remain healthy
  • Working closely with the Supplier’s finance team to ensure that the financial objectives are being met. This would include a thorough job in managing the ROI on key programs, assessing the margin impact on pricing changes, and making sure that all market spend was driving positive brand growth. Understanding the profitability of volume rate mix and the effectiveness of promoting the size within each brand. 
  • Compile and provide variance analysis and business insight on business performance
  • Research variances on financial statements, and originate correcting journal entries resulting from analysis

Measure program effectiveness

  • Creates, maintains, validates and distributes all KPIs
  • Tracks internal monthly incentives for all markets and communicates to sales team
  • Provides analysis of market execution and program ROI

Maintain financial awareness throughout organization

  • Creates, maintains, validates and distributes key periodic reports package including: Dashboards, Daily Top Line, Master Planning, Daily Financials, DTG, BTG, QBR and TTT Reports
  • Produce and distribute consolidated financial statements and Gross Profit reports
  • Participate in the creation, validation and distribution of the monthly flash forecasting reports (Wines & Spirits)
  • Nielsen / Brand analysis (GAP closing opportunities)
  • Responsible for compiling, maintaining, analyzing and presenting market, customer, and internal company sales data to evaluate performance and sales strategies in the market

Spend Oversight

  • Oversight of all funds (CMF, CMP Corp, LMF and SEG) ensuring they are managed within the RNDC guidelines while risks and opportunities of balances are communicated. Performing detail and periodic audits of supplier investments funding and spend (Trackers where applicable and as agreed with Supplier)
  • Perform detailed DA analysis and high level projection for all Pernod RNDC markets
  • Coordinate and communicate gap-fill programs and final results (balances) 

Inventory oversight

  • Manage the forecasting process and drive towards meeting Supplier expectations
  • Oversight of all Supplier allocations, new product introduction (Pipeline)
  • Understanding the correct inventory levels and make sure that inventory levels are reduced and there are no OOS issues

Data management, command, and utilization

  • Manages and validates all account Universes
  • Devise and evaluate methods and procedures for collecting data or arrange to obtain existing data
  • Utilizes in-houses tools (Micro Strategy) and external tools (IRI, AC Nielsen, Spectra) to develop detailed market analysis and targets
  • Manage data feeds for financials
  • Special projects and ad hoc requests as they arise.

Supervisory Responsibilities:  May manage the following job positions at the state level based on assigned market tier: Analyst.  Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these Associates. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training Associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance and talent development; rewarding and disciplining Associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree from four-year College or university preferred (Finance, Accounting, or Economics); Five to eight years related experience, of which 3-5 years in a financial environment as well as business analysis. Industry experience a plus. Systems acumen and proficiency is a must (ERPs, financial reporting tools (Oracle), business reporting tools (Microstrategy, CRM, Cognos, OBI), Windows Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Mathematical, Reasoning and Computer Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts (such as probability and statistical inference, fundamentals of plane and solid geometry, and trigonometry) and apply concepts (such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations). Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished (in written, oral, or diagram form) and to deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet, Microsoft Office Suite software (such as Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, and etc.), and order processing systems (such as Logility, Microstrategy, and etc.) or the aptitude to learn. Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications. Systems acumen and proficiency is a must (ERPs, financial reporting tools (Oracle), business reporting tools (Microstrategy, CRM, Cognos, OBI), Windows Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to write business presentations
and executive white papers, using original or innovative techniques or style. Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top
management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Requires a current state driver's license
  • Ability to meet company vehicle insurance requirements. 
  • Alcohol Beverage Commission (ABC) License, as required by the state (i.e. TABC License – Texas)

Other Requirements

  • Ability to regularly operate a motor vehicle.
  • Ability to regularly travel throughout the state and markets outside of the state.
  • Travel –within market area.
