SUMMARY

The primary function of the Category Development Manager is to lead the development and execution of our category and company strategies across the Sales Team to assist with growing the size and value of the customers beer category.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Develop reports and procedures utilizing customer and consumer data that can be leveraged across the company to gain tactical advantages with retailers.

Broaden the company’s capabilities within the Armadillo platform of reports through establishing a standardized training regimen.

Establish a baseline communication process within the broader Sales team to leverage positive sales programs and strategies

Develop relationships with Key Retailers by providing a non-biased approach to category leadership and growth.

Work with Sales members to build a more robust process for providing results back to retailers through category updates or reviews.

Monitor trends among the total alcohol category along with beer to be able to provide solutions that reach across the entire category and not just beer.

Manages a category analyst.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or University;.

5-7 years of beer category experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills

Microsoft office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, iDIG, Orchestrated Beer or similar SAP application. Ability to learn and adapt to new software also important.
