FIELD MARKETING MANAGER

The Field Marketing Manager will support the US Field Marketing Director and serve as the marketing team’s liaison to the US sales team, overseeing the day-to-day marketing operations. They will work with the US sales team to develop & implement on-brand, growth-oriented sales & marketing programs, identify & execute additional brand building opportunities, and support the company’s broader mission & goals in the United States.  

 

US Market Planning (50%) 

  • Annual Business Plan - Brooklyn Brewery’s sales organization operates around an annual go-to-market strategy, which drives activity throughout the year.  

  • Lead the development of the US Annual Business Plan (ABP) 

  • Develop on-brand, innovative, compelling marketing programs that target sales goals, support retailers and engage consumers 

  • Project manage stakeholders, timeline, communication & workflow to ensure timely hand off & a complete ABP 

  • Collaborate with brand marketing to develop marketing collateral (POS, creative, etc) & to tie-in digital execution 

  • Establish KPIs and program goals 

  • Market Awareness - Remain current on beer, CPG and general cultural & consumer trends; incorporate key learnings into market programming 

  • Calibrates with other key markets; engages in best practice & knowledge sharing 

 

General Brand Building (20%) 

  • Grow awareness of the Brooklyn Brewery brand in the United States. 

  • Industry Events - Work with market teams to develop on-brand activations (ex. GABF, Craft Brewers Conference, etc) 

  • Develop additional BB owned & partner events, sponsorships, and other consumer engagement touchpoints, as indicated by the ABP 

 

Team Leadership (30%) 

  • Oversee Field Marketing Budget 

  • Manage the NYC Field Marketing Coordinator & oversee NYC marketing 

  • Collaborate & coordinate with other BB teams as the Field Marketing team’s main liaison 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Knowledge of the three-tier system for alcoholic beverages and key partners (retailers, distributors), aware of beverage industry trends & landscape 

  • Experience working with a sales network, in particular supporting national account teams 

  • 4+ years experience in marketing, beer experience not required but beverage/CPG experience strongly preferred 

  • Ability to think & act big picture, be strategic, on-brand, and results-oriented, and to identify, target, and deliver value 

  • Curious, creative, and innovative, interested in the world and people, open-minded & inclusive with an appetite to do and learn more 

  • Aware of current & relevant consumer trends, interested & engaged with different types of culture 

  • Experience leading a team and guiding the professional development of team members 

  • Experience with budget oversight and financial accountability 

  • Experience with project management, particularly guiding large, multi-phase projects & aligning stakeholders 

  • Able to analyze work for improvements, solicit & incorporate feedback 

  • Solution-oriented, able to troubleshoot & present solutions  

  • Organized, collaborative, self-starting, and strong communication skills 

  • Comfortable in a fluid environment, able to adapt to evolving circumstances as needed
