Job Title: Brewer / Cellar Person
MUST HAVE 2+ YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN A COMMERCIAL BREWERY SETTING.
Goldwater Brewing Company in Scottsdale, Arizona is seeking an experienced, creative and passionate brewer/cellar person to help us continue to grow and thrive in this incredible beer industry.
We currently operate on a 2 vessel 10 bbl brewhouse making 3-4 batches per week, serving at 2 tasting rooms and self-distributing 100 kegs per month.

When it comes to making beer, we prefer to experiment and have fun. We have 4 core beers, next to seasonals, specialties and one-time-only brews to keep up with the constant demand for “What’s New?” in our ever-evolving industry. In other words we enjoy creating and thinking of new beers to brew all the time!
We are looking for a skilled individual who possesses a true passion for the craft and dedication to produce exceptional beer. He or she must be comfortable with both hot and cold side brewery operations and fully understanding the importance and incredible art of making beer.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES INCLUDE:
Malt handling and brewhouse processes
CIP on FV and BT cleaning and breakdown
Communication with Brewing and production staff
Basic brewery equipment maintenance
A positive attitude every day
At least 2 years experience working in a brewhouse producing more than 1000 bbls a year
Passion and commitment to the craft of producing exceptional beer
Quality-minded professional who is up to date with the current trends in the industry
High level verbal and written communication with the entire brewing company via email, text, and phone calls
Team player with appreciation for combining efforts to achieve a common goal.
Ability to work long days and some weekends if needed
/ WORKING CONDITIONS:
Standing and working long days up to 8-10 hours
Stooping, bending, crouching, lifting, pushing, pulling, climbing stairs and ladders,
Handling 55 pound bags of grain, 170 pound kegs, 44 pound boxes of hops, etc.
Working in a humid climate, both hot and cold
Experienced and trained palate to taste and smell beers. Both for explaining in detail the good and the bad off-flavors and aromas of beers
Two weeks ahead of everyone (help with fermenter and brite management. What and when is coming out, what is going in next, what’s being kegged, what’s being transferred, yeast harvesting/dry hopping schedule, etc).
