Nude Beverages is an alcoholic beverages company based in Western Canada.  The company's products are Nude Vodka Soda, Nude Gin Soda, Nude Iced Tea, and Nude Tequila Soda.  All products are free or "nude" of sugar and sweetener.


Within 2 years, we became the #1 selling FMB/RTD/Cider brand in Western Canada. Our huge success in Canada has us expanding into the US and seeking people who will fit in with our innovative, energetic and straight forward culture. The successful candidate will also manage wholesalers in the short term and have input in building a local sales/merchandising team.


The Key Account Manager, Beer Category will have the following responsibilities;


Retail Account Development: Through sales executive direction, must be able to find new business by:

  • Identifying and prioritizing Grocery chain opportunities for launch and follow on volume
  • Developing tactics to close identified opportunities
  • Looking for new opportunities to grow business through mass merchandisers, box stores and special events

Selling: Must be able to practice professional selling process and selling skills to:

  • Establish goals and “selling story” and anticipate objections
  • Competently understand market and competitive data
  • Competently build IRI and other data in presentations and communicate their meaning to wholesalers and buyers during the sales call
  • Understand wholesalers and buyer needs and sells vs. in a consultative fashion
  • Close and follow up in a timely manner

Planning: Must be able to timely and successfully organize and deliver:

  • Annual volume, Ad/Feature activity and Distribution plans
  • Creative programming by chain account and market
  • Impactful ad, feature and promotional/cross-promotional activities
  • Budgeting by program and chain
  • Pricing by wholesaler for each chain
  • Motivating/Team Building: Lead and have strong working relationships by;
  • Establishing rapport with all buyers and wholesaler chain managers
  • Working cooperatively with others across the organization

Communication:

  • Effectively communicates internally and externally
  • Through creative and impactful wholesaler and buyer presentations
  • Monthly sales call and goal updates delivered to manager
  • Professional and succinct retail memos and distributor correspondence
  • Facilitate communication of account programs and inventory needs to the wholesaler network
  • Finance, Legal and Brand Development by effectively coordinating program initiatives

Administration: Responsible to deliver:

  • Call recaps, alerts, monthly calendar and budget

Knowledge: Must be current and fluent in;

  • Sales trends, opportunity gaps, customers, competitive activities, and wholesaler activities that affect the off-premise class of trade
  • And, be analytical and conversant with IRI, Retail Link, VIP and other data sources to evaluate nude business and make recommendations to retailers, and wholesalers

 

What we’re looking for:
  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years Beer Category key account management in Southern California
  • Candidates with Beer category key account management outside of Southern California will be given serious consideration
  • Wholesaler management at the senior level and or wholesaler sales team management is beneficial
  • Liquor/spirit brand experience a bonus
Special Requirements:
  • Valid driving license
  • Travel to make:
  • Local retail and wholesaler sales calls and meetings
  • National key account head office sales calls and meetings
  • Time in market with nude sales reps and managers
