Figueroa Mountain Brewing Company, an award winning, family owned brewery, is looking
to add a Brewer to our team! The Brew Crew is dedicated to quality, efficiency and
innovation- and we want someone to join us in our mission of creating the highest quality,
most delicious product possible!

The Brewer position operates on a shift rotation and is responsible for all aspects of the
brewing process including brewing, fermentation, cellaring, finishing and sensory evaluation.
The role requires an enthusiastic, teamwork oriented, responsible, and self-motivated
individual with a passion for craft beer and a desire to continue learning and growing within
the industry.


Essential Functions:
Maintain a safe working environment and follow all safety protocols and standard operating
Wort production on 60 bbl, 4 vessel brewhouse
Operation of Velo DE Filter
Fermentor and Brite Tank CIP
Cellar monitoring, yeast handling and pitching
Cellar duties including gravities and associated tasks
Maintain a clean, sanitary and organized work environment
Proper documentation of all tasks performed

Must be a team player
Passion for independent, quality craft beer and our industry is a must
Educational background in brewing or related areas is a plus
6 months professional brewing experience preferred, at a 5k+ bbl/year brewery, 15+ bbl
Forklift and equipment operation experience is highly desired
Mechanical aptitude, basic problem solving and math skills
Sensory evaluation experience, BJCP/Cicerone certifications are preferred
Flexibility, a positive attitude and a strong work ethic
Ability to stand on feet for 8+ hours, lift up to 55 lbs.on a consistent basis
Flexibility in shift rotation is required (1st, 2nd, 3rd and occasional weekend shifts)

Physical Demands
The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The
employee must frequently lift and/or move cases of beer up to 25 pounds and 50 pound kegs. Specific
vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision,
depth perception and ability to adjust focus

• Must have reliable transportation
• Attention to detail, ability to work unsupervised while maintaining safety and quality standards,
and confidence to speak up and act when safety and quality are compromised.
• Ability and willingness to adhere to and advance protocol in a diverse work environment.
