Primary Objective: One of America’s top 50 fastest growing breweries, Fifty West Brewing Company, is looking for an experienced and hardworking individual to fill the role of Packaging Lead/Inventory Manager. This team member will be responsible primarily for operating the canning line in a safe and efficient manner as well as organizing and managing inventory for wholesaler pickup. Our ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, positive, organized individual who is good at troubleshooting and has an attention for details.
This full-time position is located at 7668 Wooster Pike, Cincinnati, OH and will report to the Head of Brewing Operations.
Duties: • Lead and execute can/keg packaging from start to finish while directly managing packaging team members • Palletizing, transporting and organizing kegs & cases in cold storage • Manage, clean, sanitize, transport, organize and prepare empty keg inventory • Safely follow detailed SOPs • Perform regular maintenance/cleaning on canning line and kegging line • Maintain organized, sanitary and spotless environments throughout the brewery. • Organize brewery equipment, supplies, and ancillary items • Organize and consolidate items in the warehouse to maximize space and efficiency • Manage and assist in organizing/building wholesaler orders including prepping/loading trucks during pickup. • Willingness to assist from time to time with external events such as on- and off-premise tastings, beer festivals, and other marketing related events
Qualifications: • Minimum 2+ years of experience in beverage packaging is preferred • Experience managing a team is a plus • Strong organizational habits, a self-motivated work ethic, and good critical thinking/problem solving skills • Forklift experience is a plus • Ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical systems • Ability to work both alone as well as with the rest of the team • Experience with safety and sanitation protocol and policies and ability to follow all such policies • Hardworking, motivated, goal-oriented-individual with a strong sense of urgency. • Must be able to work assigned shifts as needed. Including potential 12 hours shifts, weekends and/or holidays on occasion • Tolerate summer/winter temperature conditions in production environment Physical Requirements: • Ability to stand/walk on hard surfaces for an entire shift • Willingness to work in wet/hot/cold conditions • Ability to work safely with potentially hazardous chemicals • Ability to move up to 160 pounds with roll/hand-truck and repeatedly lift up to 60 lbs. • Adherence to all PPE (personal protective equipment) requirements and follow all SOP and safety protocols without question • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to endure on a daily basis, walking, standing, sitting, kneeling, and crouching.
