Reporting To: Direct – Northern United CEO/CFO (Tony Grant);

The Marketing Director will be a critical member of the executive team and provide both operational and programmatic support to the organization. The Marketing Director will supervise the overall marketing strategy for both sales and communications / customer engagement. Engagement will include customers defined in the wholesaler, on and off-premise account, NUBC pub and end consumer levels. The Marketing Director will be one of the main spokespersons and the brand(s) steward for the company. The Marketing Director will report directly to the CEO and directly assist the other constituents of Northern United Brewing Company, on all strategic and tactical matters as they relate to marketing.

Summary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Organize all IP assets for the company
  • Create and manage brand and other marketing assets process and controls / systems that ensure the utmost integrity and consistency of the IP and messaging
  • Work with the various constituencies within the organization to develop the marketing strategy for Jolly Pumpkin in 2019 to integrate all sales and pubs with the same, consistent and clear voice for the brand
  • Manage the North Peak brand team and sales organization as needed
  • Develop and manage budgets annually for all marketing activities
  • Work with management and oversee from both a project management and execution side, all aspects of marketing including teams creating the artwork, graphic design, sales collateral, PR, social media, displays, etc…
  • Prepare and present annual and quarterly marketing plans to management including wholesale / account, NUBC pubs and global brand campaigns and programming
  • Create, maintain and present industry research and data for marketing, sales and operations to utilize in management decision making
  • Help manage charitable activities for the Brewery team (unless a global company initiative the pubs will still handle their own activities in this regard)
  • Create and maintain ad-hoc reporting as needed


  • Work collaboratively with CEO and the other functional heads to establish the strategic plan for the business, annual operating objectives, organizational policies, and procedures for attaining business objectives
  • Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality.
  • Support selling and customer service efforts directly and by example
  • Provide expert advice for, oversee development of, and execute company’s strategic marketing and sales plan
  • Develop company brand performance measures to support and track the company’s

strategic plan. progress and results.
