We are looking for a highly motivated and quality focused Cellar Person to join our team in our fast growing brewery in the vibrant Wynwood neighborhood in Miami. We're all about great brews and hella good vibes! ?Our team is as culturally diverse as our city of birth and we are proud of our vibrant Latin roots. Flavorful and sessionable beers are our focus, perfect for Miami's hot summers and mild winters. From Craft Lagers and IPAs to Sours and Fruit Beers we stay true to Cerveza Artesanal as we brew on our 15BBL two-vessel system with a diverse cellar. All of our beers are made available in our pub with a core line up in distribution. You would be working with and reporting to our Head Brewer Rhett Dougherty .


Responsibilities

This hourly position’s responsibilities will consist of but are not limited to:

  • Fermentation monitoring and data recording.

  • Yeast harvesting and management.

  • Maintaining organization and inventory in the brewery.

  • Troubleshooting and reporting of equipment issues.

  • Safely operating forklift and pallet jack.

  • Keg washing and filling.

  • Raw material preparation and staging.

  • Packaging of bottles and cans.

  • Preparation and staging of all packaging material.

  • Maintain cleaning schedules and procedures.

  • CIP/SIP of tanks and vessels.

  • Filtering, fining, transferring and carbing of beer.

  • Dry hop, fruit and adjunct additions to in process beers.

  • Assembling and documenting distributor orders.

  • General housekeeping & conducting tours to the public.

  • Basic QA: cell count, viability, DO and CO2 measurement (bulk and packaged), OG/FG/pH, detergent titration, etc.

  • Drive company truck (raw material pick up/ movement of packaged goods to cold room etc.).



Requirements:

  • Have minimum 1 consecutive year of experience cellaring in a brewpub or production environment across ales and lagers.

  • Possess a positive "can do" and "will do" attitude.

  • Have strong communication skills with a team first attitude.

  • Have the confidence to work independently as well as part of the team.

  • Demonstrate analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Display planning and organizational skills.

  • Have a strong work ethic and be flexible and willing to ensure we deliver beer on time to trade partners even if it means night shift work, weekends or overtime when the situation requires it.

  • Ability to multitask.

  • Be able to lift (75 lbs), roll/load 1/2 bbl kegs (175 lbs) on/off of pallets, crouch, bend and stand on feet for a full shift.

  • Have a valid driver license.

  • Attention to detail and conduct basic sensory analysis.

  • Dominion of Spanish language preferred

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Experience in operating packaging (keg, bottles and cans) preferred
