Saturday Session is a new brand dedicated to creating the Session Wine category.  We launched in June 2018 in DC and have two canned wines: a sparkling rosé and sparkling sauvignon blanc that are 5.5% ABV, under 100 Calories and 4g of sugar.

We are seeking an execution-focused, entrepreneurial and energetic individual as our first outside hire to join as the Area Manager of our DC, Maryland and Virginia (DMV) markets.  This team member has the opportunity to help us execute and build our vision through daily sales, marketing and operations and has the ability to take on greater responsibility as the company grows.

The Area Manager will work directly with the founder to continue growing our current footprint in Washington, DC and build the business in MD and VA.

 

As the Area Manager, you will have following core responsibilities:

  • Build new business from scratch by executing and managing new retail account sell-in across DC, MD and VA independent liquor and on premise accounts.  If applicable, you will be responsible for overseeing daily responsibilities and performance of local sales reps.

  • Act as main point of contact with local distributor representatives to ensure trade execution and superior service quality.

  • Execute local trade marketing campaigns in the independent and on premise channels.

  • Manage team of local brand representatives for product tastings and events.

  • Initiate and maintain relationships with local brand and event partners.

  • Manage local reporting and performance tracking for area.

 

About you:

  • You’re not looking for a job- you’re looking to take part in something much bigger, and join an ambitious team with the goal of building a category.

  • Willing to get your hands dirty- the early stages of this role are execution focused with the opportunity to manage as the team grows.

  • 2+ years in a marketing or sales focused role with clear record of success.

  • Startup experience or ability to operate in uncertain environments preferred, especially with exposure to food/beverage or alcoholic beverages.

  • Strong interpersonal skills- you will serve as an external steward of the brand with our consumers, retail partners, distributors and shareholders.

  • Highly organized, able to multi-task and responds and adapts quickly to change.

  • Passionate about food and beverage and prioritize health and wellness.

  • Experience working in fast paced environments and are entrepreneurial by nature.

  • Not scared to show off your Microsoft Office talents.
