REGIONAL KEY ACCOUNTS MANAGER

Job Description

BREW PIPELINE has an immediate opening for a Regional Key Account Manager. This position reports to the President of Sales.

Summary

- Grow volume and profitability in accounts through development of plans and relationships with wholesale partners, key retailers and assisting key on  and off-premise accounts.

-Execute pricing strategies by brand.

- Improve share of visibility for brands (i.e. merchandising) and permanent point-of-sale (POS) through retail execution.

-Achieve core brand distribution, promotion penetration, and increasing regional core brand consumer promotion by understanding and applying local dynamics.

-Work with distributors to:

- Provide input based on current market evaluation

- Understand distributor off-premise capabilities

- Execute monthly distributor on and off-premise plans with  measure results - Monitor and communicate competitive activity

- Build focus on the craft beer segment

- Increase focus on BREW PIPELINE programs

-Position is based in major regional markets throughout the US.

Specific duties:

-Support BREW PIPELINE purpose and vision statement

-Maintain constant communication with the President of Sales through reporting SOPs.

- Manage promotional activity of GUEST BREWER program for on and off-premise markets  -Create and execute custom programs with on  and off-premise retailers and distributors.

-Assist in price-setting strategies.

-Maintain visibility in retail trade, including relationship with store level management.

-Liaison between BREW PIPELINE and buyer for key national and regional on and  off-premise chain accounts.

-Work with designated on and off-premise key account representatives from wholesalers.

-Present monthly, six-month, and year-end reviews to retailers.

-Create a monthly key analysis presentation for wholesalers.

-Present new items and programs to retailers.

Qualifications:

-Proven success with key accounts with a consumer products company (preferable in the beer industry)

-Position requires basic knowledge and skills in the following areas: sales, business, category management, sales analytics, program planning, and distribution execution, organizational development, beer pricing models

- Sales- basic knowledge and skills to execute solution selling.

-Business- knowledge of retail delivery and impact of distributor operations in retail. i.e. - knowledge of the dynamics of the retail channel (bar/tavern vs. hotel) and key customer needs (service, brand portfolio, POS merchandising, consumer promotions, etc), as well as experience in retail call-in account promotions and how distributors service retail channels.  Must possess basic business financial and supporting analytical skills.

-Category management - basic knowledge about the craft beer industry and GUEST BREWER program category management tactics - i.e. - understand the role of craft beer in on  and off-premise accounts.

-Analysis, planning and execution - possess basic analysis, objective setting, tracking, and measuring abilities for low-complexity applications with short term planning horizons. Ability to access and analyze information from various sources, reach conclusions, and provide input into larger planning processes. Ability to access and manipulate data sources and use Microsoft Office applications including effective email practices.

-Organization development - ability to interact effectively in one-on-one situations with co-workers and customers. Approachable personality with a strong customer focus. Demonstrates leadership with the ability to influence distributor and retailer actions.

-Basic computer software proficiency (MS Office suite; sales tracking tools), ability to update company, distributor, and brewery databases

-Ability to travel on a frequent basis, possibly 30-40% per month.

-Must be able to work flexible hours/days.

-Must have good record keeping and business communication skills.

-Familiarity of multiple aspects of the brewing industry and the beer distribution industry.

?       Annual base with up to 50% of base bonus opportunity per our review process
