The Marketing Manager is responsible for managing many of PubPass’ marketing efforts including: management of all social media channels, content creation, customer engagement, advertising placement and spending, partner and customer communications, event coordination and CMS management for our digital properties.
Other responsibilities include light design work for digital and print materials, and supporting the creation of PubPass’ famous craft beer passport.
This position will play a big role in the growth of a young startup and will grow along with company.
The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about pushing for results and exceeding expectations, but also someone who is fun, because hey, we work in the beer industry.
This position reports to PubPass’ CEO.
SOCIAL MEDIA (40%)
Creation of daily content; content strategy, gathering/organizing content from field team; some photography as needed; community engagement; new channel discovery; influencer partnerships; storytelling
Light web and app design updates; update and design print materials
Earned media advertising; paid advertising placement; optimize Facebook/Instagram spend; media appearances; public relations needs
Manage MailChimp communications; customer service support; communication to breweries; support field sales team communications
Coordinate and attend city parties; pop-up sales
Copywriting; CMS/data entry for book and mobile app; some support with shipping as needed; other duties as assigned or needed
Possesses knowledge and experience in traditional and digital marketing. (Marketing degree is welcomed but not required with relevant work experience)
Highly creative writing experience with a great sense of humor and wit
Demonstrates creativity and documented immersion in social media.
Experience sourcing and managing content development and publishing.
Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, SnapChat, Pinterest ,etc.) and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios.
Maintains excellent writing and language skills.
Enjoys a working knowledge of the blogging/influencer ecosystem relevant to the company’s field.
Can ‘read the room’ and empathize easily with PubPass users, partners and team
Makes evident good technical understanding and can pick up new tools quickly.
Maintains a working knowledge of principles of SEO including keyword research and Google Analytics. Highly knowledgeable in the principles of “Search and Social.”
Possesses functional knowledge and/or personal experience with design software (Sketch, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.)
Experience using MailChimp or other software for sending e-mail communication, tracking analytics, deploying A/B testing, and meeting marketing and communications objectives.
Experience maintaining websites, especially using Wordpress or similar platform.
Comfortable leading a large event.
Knowledgeable about the craft beer industry
WORK DAYS: This position occasionally requires that essential functions are performed during weekend and/or evening hours as needed, based on the schedule of PubPass’ events
WORK HOURS: 30 hours/week
