About the Bruery:
The Bruery is an award-winning craft brewery established in northern Orange County. We specialize in Belgian-style, experimental, innovative beers, which we distribute in 29 states, 5 continents, and sell directly to customers through our two Tasting Rooms and three membership Societies. The Bruery is one of three Famille Rue brands which include The Bruery, est. 2008; sour & wild Bruery Terreux, est. 2015; and hop-focused Offshoot Beer Co., est. 2017.
This position is our connection to our accounts & customers and is primarily responsible for all stages of planning, executing and representing The Bruery & Bruery Terreux at account events and general events/festivals. Using interpersonal skills, this person will help build our brand through targeted events and strengthened relationships with existing accounts, as well as identifying new sales opportunities. This is an entry-level sales position with opportunity to grow within the company.
Essential Duties (include but are not limited to the following):
Plan and arrange events at accounts and work with their manager, customers and the public to effectively promote and successfully prepare for and run those events.
Represent The Bruery & Bruery Terreux at account events and general festivals/events, primarily in California, with occasional out-of-state travel for regional events.
Occasionally visit key accounts throughout Northern California and perform research to stay in-the-loop regarding account openings, new prospective accounts & staffing changes.
Occasionally perform ride-alongs with sales staff under the direction of their manager
In coordination with their manager, develop and maintain rolling travel plan.
In coordination with sales and marketing teams, develop unique educational plans, materials & presentations for events, in store demos and customers.
Identify unique events and opportunities for The Bruery, Bruery Terruex and Offshoot to showcase its products, including but not limited to premier beer festivals and events focused on music, food & wine.
Represent The Bruery, Bruery Terreux & Offshoot in an enthusiastic and respectful manner with distributors, accounts, and customers.
Perform merchandising at accounts during visits, as appropriate.
Develop & maintain relationships with accounts and distributors.
Obtain contact details for accounts and assist with maintenance of account database.
Maintain self-education on The Bruery, Bruery Terreux & Offshoot brands and the craft beer industry in general, including applicable laws & regulations.
Delivery of special event beer to accounts in Northern California.
Promptly reply to account emails & phone calls and escalate issues appropriately.
Monitor special event beer inventory and work with distribution & warehouse teams to ensure timely shipping of special event beer.
Assist with distribution of POS & merchandise to distributors and accounts.
Assist their Manager and Events Coordinator with planning and executing Society & tasting room focused events.
Related work experience: 2 years relevant experience in events, promotions, media, consumer products marketing
Ability to build and maintain customer relationships
Passion for & deep knowledge of craft beer
Ability to communicate effectively & with excellent customer service skills, both orally and in writing.
Self-motivated & able to work without direct oversight
Proficient in Mac OS, Microsoft Office & database programs
Ability to bend over, twist, kneel, climb stairs, stand for the duration of a shift, lift 55+ pounds repeatedly, reach with hands and arms, sit, stoop, kneel, or crouch
This role requires flexible hours due to participation in promotional events. Nights and weekends will be required.
Travel to and participation in trade shows and beer related events as required
Drivers license with a clean motor vehicle record
Consistent and reliable access to a vehicle
