The Brooklyn Brewery seeks a motivated, diligent, craft beer loving individual to join its Marketing Department. The Field Marketing Coordinator works within the Field Marketing team, overseeing the brewery’s marketing efforts in New York City. In this role, the FMC will work on a diverse array of projects with the goal of deepening our presence in New York City, including everything from supporting our New York sales team, to planning and executing events, to coordinating the brewery’s local community outreach.


Responsibilities & Expectations
Field Marketing Coordination 70%
Responsible for coordinating all marketing activities for Brooklyn Brewery in New York City

NYC Sales Support

  • Assist the New York City sales team on developing, selling in, and executing account focused programming aimed at driving sales, including events, partnerships, and other marketing efforts
  • Represent the brewery at events
  • Ensure proper promotion of all NYC events
  • Ensure proper branding & POS at all NYC events
  • Assist NYC Sales team in coordinating the NYC Event Ambassadors as needed
  • Additional sales support as needed

Field Marketing Programming

  • Produce original in-market events that are in line with our annual sales goals and brand standards and promote our brand in our home market
  • Manage the NYC Sales & Marketing calendar
  • Support & staff non-owned Brooklyn Brewery events
  • Participate in developing new programming and events as a member of the Field Marketing team
  • Coordinate the Beer Review Program with the guidance of the Brand Marketing Director

NYC Specific Marketing Support 30%
As the marketing lead for New York City, The Field Marketing Coordinator will coordinate & participate in New York specific projects & programs

Community Support Program

  • Brooklyn Brewery’s Community Support Program is at the core of Brooklyn Brewery’s presence in NYC, and it was our founder, Steve Hindy’s very first way of promoting his beer. Today, we’re proud to support hundreds of local organizations annually with donations of beer for their events. It is just one way that we reach out to our community.

NYC Brewers Guild & Industry

  • The FMC will represent Brooklyn Brewery at monthly meetings and at NYCBG & other local industry events.

Local Partnerships
Community Outreach

  • Along with the NYC sales team, serve as a liaison between the brewery and local community, developing relationships in support of our brand

Position Requirements:

  • Excellent organization, problem solving, & system management skills
  • Creative, diligent, self-starting
  • Able to be adaptable in a changing environment
  • Thorough knowledge of Brooklyn Brewery’s portfolio, company history, and brand positioning
  • Thorough knowledge of the NYC food and beverage industry, in addition to a solid grasp of local arts & culture
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with others
  • Able to maintain professionalism in all circumstances; responsible with alcohol

Suggested

  • Previous hospitality experience
  • Previous budgeting experience

Qualifications
Education & Experience

  • Previous experience working in marketing, branding, & event production, 1 year
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications or similarly related, preferred

Must be based in New York City and able to work in our Williamsburg office. The role is a member of the Field Marketing wing of Brooklyn Brewery’s marketing team and reports to the Field Marketing Manager for our Eastern Sales Division.
