Our Creative Team is in search of a seasoned Events and Marketing Manager, who will lead the strategy, planning and execution of all Fort Point events, as well as manage our marketing partners: charities, non-profits, galleries, music venues, festivals, etc.

This role requires a dynamic and creative individual, who is passionate about craft beer, the Fort Point brand, and has the initiative and aspiration to make Fort Point events best-in-class.

PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Events Strategy + Production

  • Establish a clear and compelling mission and strategy for Fort Point events, and develop processes and benchmarks for measuring success
  • Collaborate with the Creative Team on event ideation and strategy
  • Plan and produce external Fort Point events (beer launches, SF Beer Week programming, etc.)
  • Plan and produce internal employee events (monthly outings, all-staff meetings, annual celebrations, etc.)
  • Develop and own the Sales-led Events Program, working closely with Regional Sales Managers to help plan rep-led events and field marketing activities within each region (San Francisco, East Bay, South Bay, North Bay & Los Angeles)
  • Evaluate future event opportunities and strategically grow the event portfolio
  • Monitor competitive activity, assess consumer trends

Partnerships Strategy + Support

  • Identify, initiate and deepen relationships with various partners
  • Manage and vet inbound donation and partnership requests
  • Develop relationships with fellow craft breweries and industry insiders to create opportunities for collaboration

Project Management

  • Manage all pre-event planning, including site inspections, planning meetings, operations plans, permitting, and vendor/contract negotiations
  • Create, maintain and enforce schedules, budgets, itineraries, and show-flow documents
  • Develop resource forecasts, and manage internal staffing and company representation at events to ensure highest quality of service
  • Manage and coordinate event assets; initiate repairs and reorders as needed
  • Maintain working knowledge of ABC rules and regulations for all levels of event participation
  • Manage requests for charitable donations; implement product orders, coordinate pickup and return with nonprofit beneficiaries
  • Manage database and systems to reflect current and prospective partnerships
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, external partners, vendors, and third-party agencies to ensure goals are met

REQUIRED TRAITS/SKILLS

  • Proactive, resourceful and organized self-starter with project management experience, and demonstrated ability to own projects, build processes and meet deadlines
  • Experience with producing/running events, and facility to be a natural host, capable of anticipating needs, and thinking through an event soup to nuts
  • Capacity to be a connector, maintain strong relationships and communicate effectively with diverse personality types
  • Skilled negotiator and strategic thinker with the ability to vet and leverage marketing opportunities
  • Aptitude for inventive, imaginative, and resourceful problem-solving, and ability to think "outside the box"
  • Excellent knowledge and connections within the Bay Area food, beer and creative scenes, knowledge and connections in LA a plus
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
