Wachusett Brewing Company is seeking a driven, high-energy Marketing & Social Media Manager to communicate and interact with targeted communities. You should have a solid understanding of how social media channels work and how to optimize content so that it is engaging on those channels. The goal is to gradually achieve superior customer engagement and intimacy, website traffic and revenue by strategically maximizing all aspects of the social media and digital marketing road-map.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Execute WBC social media strategies across multiple brand platforms
  • Content Creation.  Ability to strategize, write, shoot, and post consistently great content to build highest level of engagement across multiple social channels
  • Editing.  Ability to optimize and edit video and photo content through various applications in both desktop and mobile modes
  • Consistently optimizing WBC brand pages within each social media platform
  • Advertising.  Implement and execute annual budget to achieve communication and target goals and maximize brand reach and frequency
  • Event Management.  Train, coordinate, and manage event staff to execute tastings, special events, and festivals to sample and promote the WBC portfolio

Other Responsibilities:

  • Build and execute social media strategy through category research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification
  • Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take-action
  • Set up and optimize company brand pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content
  • Moderate all user-generated content in line
  • Create editorial calendars and syndication schedules
  • Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information
  • Join relevant conversations on behalf of the brand and “soft selling” the product by providing support to current and prospective customers
  • Collaborate with other departments to manage reputation, identify key players and coordinate actions

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Proven working experience in social media marketing or as a digital media specialist
  • Excellent consulting, writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills
  • Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge
  • Adequate knowledge of web design, web development, SEO
  • Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels
  • Positive attitude, detail and customer-oriented, with excellent multitasking and organizational ability
  • Ability to work after traditional hours and on weekends as necessary
  • BS in Communications, Marketing, Business, New Media or Public Relations
