Ola brew co is a new brewery located in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. We opened in December of 2017 and are rapidly growing. On track to produce 4,000 bbl's of beer our first year and over 1,000 bbl's of cider. Our expansion plans will allow us to produce over 10,000 bbl's in 2019. We are seeking a new team member with a background in QA/QC and cellar work. We also will need this individual to be able to manage our production line a few days per week. We offers, full health, dental, and stock options. We are 100% employee owned and plan on offering a 2-3 year contract for this position with $10-30K in equity per year. 

Responsible for the quality of beer and cider from the moment it leaves the brewhouse until it either gets in a can, bottle or keg.

-CIP all fermenters/brite tanks/packaging equipment

-Daily fermentation logs via aseptic sampling (PH, Gravity, O2, Co2, Micro)

-Harvesting Yeast

-Pitching Yeast

-Helping brewmaster with R and D experiments

-Perform internal microbial audits through out the facility on a bi weekly bases

-Willing to wash and fill kegs as needed (or help brew, make cider, juice fruit)

-Head the packaging line 1 or 2 days per week

Requirements

-Be able to lift 30+ pounds

-2 years experience in a Brewery/Lab/Cidery/Beverage facility as either cellar worker or QA/QC

-1 year lab experience with microbial culture 

-Willingness to work long days when needed and sometimes weekends depending on deadlines (everyone does at Ola Brew)

-Will need to move to the Big Island of Hawaii

-Be able to start by August 1st, 2018

-Be a team player with an ability to self start and not have to be micro managed
