Sunday Beer Company is an NYC based beer company that makes approachable, well-made and refreshing beers. Using a partner-brewing approach, Sunday launched in 2017 with one product, Sunday Beer, a 3.9 ABV light-lager. Currently available throughout NYC, Westchester and the Catskills, Sunday is a go-to option for many serious and casual beer drinkers alike who value the high-quality ingredients, small-batch production of craft beer but are looking for a go-to light-lager style.
Sunday Beer Company (SBC) is looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and motivated Sales Representative to join its NYC based team. The Sales Representative position will focus its energies on growing on and off premise sales through the development of new accounts, investment in current accounts and relationship building with both customers and consumers of Sunday Beer. The Sales Representative will spend over 85% of its time in the field interacting with current and prospective accounts.
Working within a small team, the Sales Representative will have work in direct collaboration with SBC owners to create and execute an effective sales plan to grow the SBC brand in NYC. The Sales Representative will be given freedom to utilize their individual strengths to accomplish goals and additionally will be expected to perform against aggressive, yet realistic, goals. In addition, maintenance of current and new accounts and increasing sales in those accounts will be a top priority.
Important to the execution of the Sunday sales strategy will be representing the company’s values to its customers and consumers, this includes being honest, fun, dependable and welcoming.
Collaboratively participate in developing a sales plan to include targeted efforts to grow Sunday Beer’s footprint in the Greater NYC area in on and off premise account locations
Manage relationships with current NYC accounts to increase brand loyalty, awareness and sales.
Execute a sales plan in coordination with the SBC team that uses industry best practices and company values to increase total account locations (on and off premise) and Sunday Beer sales at each location
Grow Sunday Beer brand awareness by executing and participating in marketing efforts including in-store tastings, pint nights, participation in SBC events (Dog Jog, Soft Top Surf Club) and more
Manage relationships through regular interfaces with key accounts, investing in relationships with both bar/restaurant/store owners and customers through both on-premise buys and regular patronage
Utilize SBC database tools to identify, capture and manage account leads, active accounts and ongoing sales. Keep thorough notes and share them with the SBC team.
Collect weekly sales orders via email, text, telephone call or in-person meetings and input them in SBC’s ordering platform.
Be responsive to customer and consumer needs and feedback for product, POS/marketing and sales support.
Be nice, fun and positive.
At a minimum, the Sales Representative must have the following qualifications:
Be based in NYC
An ability to maintain professionalism and composure in a bar environment when alcohol is being consumed
Computer proficiency (Microsoft / Google suite)
Strong organizational and communication sales
A positive, can-do attitude and someone who responds well under pressure
Experience in beer sales in the NYC area strongly preferred
Our compensation package is based upon experience, but includes a competitive base salary, generous quarterly bonuses, free Sunday Beer swag and, of course, a Sunday Beer monthly beer allowance. In addition, a small budget for account growth and sales will be provided.
