Lift Operator

Upslope Brewing Company is looking to add an organized, detail-oriented self starter to our Packaging & Warehouse Team!


The Lift Operator is responsible for all tasks associated with equipment operation and supporting the brewery’s Packaging and Warehouse Team. Accuracy, efficiency, safety and teamwork are the key factors in this position. You will be responsible for daily planning, forklift operation and will jump on our canning or kegging lines to assist our Packaging Team as needed. The Lift Operator consistently seeks ways to improve the efficiency of packaging and warehouse processes and maintains solid communication with


Equipment Operation

  • Safely operates forklifts, electric pallet jacks, non-electric pallet jacks and other machinery used during all Packaging runs

  • Sets up of materials for runs, transfer of finished product from Packaging to Warehouse

  • Performs routine, preventative maintenance on forklifts

  • Participates in safety trainings and abides by safety policies

Warehousing and Packaging Tasks

  • Tracks and records inventory of finished and partial pallets from packaging runs, and performs audits as necessary

  • Ensures all positions on canning line have adequate and appropriate supplies (replenish no-packers box supply, replenish 12-pack box supply near gluer, etc)

  • Construct, wrap and label pallets of product with precision

  • Able to load and unload shipments from LTL to FTL with accuracy and timeliness

  • Assist in monthly inventory counts to maintain correct inventory

  • Maximize space constraints to be able to have an efficient warehouse using FIFO rotation of product and assist in accurate batch transactions

  • Maintaining supply and organization of warehouse & packaging materials using the 5S system

  • Communicates warehouse information across all departments as necessary

  • Completes cross-training in order to fill in on canning line and keg filler when necessary and/or time allows

  • Assists canning and kegging crews in ensuring packaging area is kept clean and organized before, during and after runs including ongoing improvement projects.

  • Aid additional packaging or brewing challenges as needed

  • Must be 21+

  • Clean driving record (no DUI, DWAI)

  • Take the initiative and can work efficiently & independently

  • Have proficient math, spatial planning skills

  • Passion for Craft Beer and the independent brewing community

  • Prior forklift operation and warehouse experience is highly preferred

  • Expected hours are 30-50 hours per week.  Shifts may run longer than 8 hours in a day due to on the floor challenges or truck delays

  • Have an interest in growing within the warehouse department as Upslope grows
