The Maintenance Manager will effectively lead the maintenance team at the production facility and pubs. Will be responsible for leading various maintenance projects throughout the brewery. S/he may perform scheduled and emergency repairs to facilities infrastructure including building (interior/exterior), electrical and plumbing, brewing equipment, packaging equipment, chillers, boilers, compressors and pumps in a safe, efficient manner to support production requirements and planned growth.  The Maintenance Manager will lead the preventive and predictive maintenance programs, process and equipment optimization and troubleshooting process. This position involves both hands-on and administrative responsibilities. 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Ensure consistent high quality and efficient operations of the maintenance team.
  • Oversee team member safety and product quality through establishment of SOP's, contribution to continuous improvement initiatives and training.
  • Contact vendors on price and availability to purchase parts, supplies and equipment; oversee installment of new equipment.
  • Serve as company resource regarding all maintenance issues regarding operation of systems and equipment for our facilities'one manufacturing plant and 2 restaurants/pubs.
  • Oversee and monitor maintenance operations, aiding when necessary.
  • Manage plant assets through proper maintenance programs.
  • Reinforce a safety culture and attitude in maintenance operations.
  • Work with PMO regarding brewery maintenance project planning.
  • Effectively collaborate with engineering team to achieve project goals and timelines.
  • Lead team. Coach and mentor staff, create opportunities for team development, make hiring decisions, and drive performance management and recognition.
  • Lead the annual budget process for assigned departments.
  • Serve as Supervising Electrician and lead internal electrical apprenticeship program (only if licensed and applicable)

What We're Looking For:

Education & Experience

  • Two-year degree in a skilled trade. Experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • A minimum 5 years of practical maintenance leadership experience.
  • Valid Oregon Supervising Electrician license preferred.
  • Previous food or beverage plant experience preferred.
  • Solid level of experience with world class manufacturing techniques with the business acumen to anticipate and respond to future needs of the organization.
  • Proven track record in leading and managing change.
  • Previous Lean manufacturing experience.

  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment.
  • Strong safety orientation.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical, pneumatic, refrigeration, steam and mechanical equipment.
  • Understanding of control systems.
  • Extensive knowledge of OSHA requirements and regulations
  • Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication.
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
