Lawson’s Finest is seeking a highly talented and experienced individual to manage all levels of our distribution, develop and oversee a comprehensive field representation plan, and assure that our beers are always properly handled to accomplish our mission of providing beers of the highest quality and freshness. This position reports directly to the Operations Director and supervises the Brand Ambassadors. 

The ideal candidate:

  • Has supervisory experience in the brewing industry and employs strong leadership skills
  • Is a strategic thinker and is proactive in identifying issues and solving challenges
  • Has a passion for and a keen sense of the craft beer industry
  • Is extremely organized, detail oriented, and has strong follow through with tasks
  • Displays solid time management, discerning prioritization skills, and is self-motivated
  • Possesses excellent communication skills, is honest, and hard-working

Primary Responsibilities:

*   Manage and execute marketplace distribution and sales of Lawson’s Finest beer

*   Oversight of Quality Assurance program (proper freshness, handling, and pricing of our beer)

*   Report to Finance and Operations for tax filings and monthly reporting requirements     

*   Sales and Distribution Logistics

*   Manage beer shipments to distributors and schedule freight carriers

*   Oversight of packaged beer (inventory, sales allocations, and movements)

*   Compile and present monthly sales reports with accuracy

*   Coordinate sales goals & projections with leadership team and distributors

*   Manage Lawson’s Finest Brand Ambassador program in VT and expand program to additional sales markets

*   Develop plans to hire and supervise new positions to cover NY, MA, CT, RI, and ME

*   Supervise Brand Ambassadors, assign sales and quality assurance goals, manage work plans for success and accountability

*   Provide guidance and support for on-premise and off-premise account communications

*      Coordinate with Finance and Administration to execute sales, invoicing, and MicroStar keg return process for our Vermont distributor

*      Liaise using effective communication with external partners (distributors, customers, suppliers)

*      A willingness to perform other duties as assigned

Requirements & Expectations:

*      Based in VT with routine out of state travel

*      Highly organized with demonstrated proficiency in Excel spreadsheets and Microsoft Office software

*      You must thrive working independently and have a positive personality

*      Physically capable of a variety of duties including but not limited to repeated lifting of 30 pounds or more, and extended amounts of physical activity with prolonged standing and talking

*      Valid driver’s license, clear motor vehicle record, and reliable transportation

*      Bachelor degree required with 3-5+ years sales and supervisory experience in the brewing industry
