The Key Account Sales Manager is responsible for developing and executing the sales plan for chain and key off-premise accounts, and is accountable for the sales volume, distribution, brand activity, and results in assigned accounts. Provides exceptional leadership for the sales team while directing internal and external resources to execute sales objectives.

Primary Responsibilities
Work directly with and maintain communication with Wholesaler Partners in all assigned geographies to grow new points of distribution to chain and key account buyers for both new and existing products.

Coordinate with the Sales and Marketing teams to set a sales plan for chain and off-premise accounts, develop call coverage target lists, and assist in developing and reviewing corresponding budget.

Must be able to analyze and develop sales opportunity from VIP software, IRI, Nielsen or other company provided sales/CRM software. Develop and monitor sales weekly sales progress, and develop reporting for sales team and Wholesaler Partners.

Promote off-premise sales growth by establishing a sales call strategy for Sales Reps including call frequency, product focus, display goals, and in-store sampling support in all assigned geographies.

Maintain a consistent market visitation schedule to develop effective relationships with key off-premise accounts and Wholesale Partners.

Oversee and assist in selling ads, displays, incentives, and support retail feature and promotional activity with retailers and with Wholesale Partners.  

Monitor beer inventory to maintain proper amounts based on sales trends, promotions, and seasonal changes. Communicate inventory needs in a timely manner with Wholesaler Partners.

Participate in all appropriate store resets.

Communicate opportunities, issues, pricing surveys and market intelligence with all appropriate internal and external stakeholders through written, verbal and electronic means.

Perform administrative tasks as they are assigned (expense reports, monthly work calendar, establish distribution targets, KPI reporting, evaluate discount programs, conduct price surveys).

Reliable car and ability to travel.
Ability to work flexible schedule, including some week-ends.
Minimum of 3 years’ key account experience with the majority of the experience in the beer industry.
Strong knowledge of craft beer industry and its retail consumers.
Experience with sales data analysis, reporting and communicating key findings.
Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent education and experience) in Sales and Business Marketing.
Advanced computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Valid Driver’s License with no restriction
