Position Summary

Brewers at Karl Strauss perform all aspects of beer production, from beginning to end at the Main Brewery in Pacific Beach. This includes brewing, cellar operations, Centrifuge operation, cleaning and sanitation, maintenance of plant equipment and other related duties. This is not an entry- level brewing position.

Essential Functions & Duties

Efficiently operates all brewing equipment at the Main Brewery including the brew house, filters, kegging machine, cleaning equipment, milling equipment, and all other support equipment in the brewery.
Monitors fermentation, cleaning and sanitizing tanks, and yeast management.

There are 3 eight-hour shifts throughout the day and we need someone who can work any of those shifts.

Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Must know, love and appreciate our craft.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ideally at least two years’ experience working in a brewery.
Able to work basic computer programs such as MS Outlook, Word and Excel.
Mechanical aptitude required and experience working with small tools.
