Durango Brewing Co. is looking to add a Sales Representative to our team. This person will be responsible for working with our wholesaler partners, supporting and increasing sales in our on and off premise accounts located in Southern Colorado and New Mexico. The ideal candidate will have intimate wholesaler knowledge, sales experience, and be extremely self-driven. She/he must have the ability to foster lasting relationships with distributor partners and with retail buyers, and have a passion for the craft beer industry.
Duties and Responsibilities
Develop strategies to support our wholesaler management team and work with their sales team
Accelerate growth in current accounts and capture new customers in assigned sales territory
Works with wholesaler to monitor inventory based on sales trends, promotions and seasonal changes
Interface with distributors and retailers on a daily basis to ensure product quality.
Strong knowledge of the 3-tier system with the ability to balance between the demands of brewery, wholesaler, and retail execution
Schedule and represent the brewery at events, beer tastings and festivals
Previous wholesaler and sales experience in the alcoholic beverage industry
Must be at least 21 years old with reliable personal transportation and a clean driving record
Cicerone Level 1 Beer Server Certification is required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of the Colorado and New Mexico beer markets is highly preferred
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Willingness to assist at all special events and festivals in the territory
Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds and maneuver packages up to 165 pounds, using appropriate techniques and tools
