The Director of Human Resources will provide HR leadership and strategic direction for the company. S/he will act as a resource and leader in the enhancement of a workplace culture that promotes effective communications, quality, talent acquisition and retention strategies, employee engagement and satisfaction, performance management, succession planning, recognition, diversity and inclusion. This role will serve as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, reporting directly to the CEO. This position is open due to retirement of current HRD.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Strategically plan future organizational structure and design; creating the link between strategy and the people/structure required for execution
  • Advise executive team of HR best practices
  • Lead the HR functions across multiple locations and facilities
  • Responsible for the development and execution of company succession planning
  • Make and recommend smart business decisions using analytical data
  • Stay current on industry/HR trends, educate others as appropriate
  • Establish training and coaching processes and programs that achieve business results
  • Establish HR KPI’s relevant to the business and ensure team accountability
  • Oversee company performance management program
  • Provide both internal and external partners with the highest level of customer service
  • Manage HR Team. Coach and mentor staff, create opportunities for team development, make hiring decisions, and drive performance management and recognition.

What We’re Looking For:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Organizational Development, Industrial Psychology or equivalent require
  • MS in Industrial Psychology or Human Resources preferred
  • MBA focused on strategic Human Resource Management preferred
  • At least 5 years of experience in an Executive/Senior level HR position in a complex environment
  • Previous manufacturing experience highly preferred
  • Experience managing HR functions across multiple locations, facilities, etc.
  • Experience in Organizational Development methods and proven implementation skills
  • Experience in benefit design and program management including self-funded health insurance plans
  • Experience in compensation program design including bonuses, phantom stock plans, and ESOP

  • Solid, up-to-date knowledge of employment law, specifically multi-state employment laws

  • Excellent communication skills, demonstrating effective listening through concise, clear verbal and written communication

  • Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills
