The JDub’s Western Florida Sales Rep is based in Sarasota covers roughly the area spanning Tampa to Fort Myers.  This rep is responsible for building and maintaining professional relationships with key distributor personnel and retail accounts (both on & off premise) in order to grow sales and increase brand presence. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

? Achieve Sales Goals for assigned territory and accounts.

? Use VIP data to identify opportunities or gain other business insights

? Use Lilypad CRM software to track the latest account interactions and update account points of contact.

? Organize and conduct on-premise tastings, beer-dinners, and other relevant account support activities.

? Organize and conduct on-premise and off-premise tastings.

? Perform administrative duties in a timely manner (expense & mileage reports, work calendar, etc.)

? Advertise account related events via facebook (automatically published to twitter) and other social-media/web channels.

? Regularly check for shelf-placement off-premise SKUs based on defined attributes.

? Train distributors & retail accounts (including bartender & wait staff personnel) on all brands 

? Ensure (in conjunction with distributor) that accounts have proper beer supply, taphandles, and related support collateral.

? Deliver (or enlist help for delivering) beer, invoices, tap handles, and related support collateral in one-off scenarios as needed.

? Assist in quarterly planning of sales goals and objectives.

? Collect and maintain metrics, relevant account data.

? New promotional ideas in primary territory.

? Assist in sponsorship/charity decisions as needed.

? Maintain and track marketing inventory.

? Organize event staff as needed for maximum efficiency.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities - The JDub’s Western Florida Sales Representative must possess:

  • Craft beer industry passion and the appreciation of the culture that goes with it
  • A results driven, energetic, confident personality
  • Have strong local contacts – know the local scene
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products, (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Compelling public speaking and presentation skills
  • Exemplary interpersonal, organizational and project management skills
  • The ability to drive and have a valid driver’s license, car and insurance

Minimum Education &/or Experience required:  

  • 1 – 2 years’ experience in craft beer sales is desirable; preference will be given to those with beverage sales or consumer product goods experience. 
  • Certified Cicerone or Certified Beer Server is a definite plus
  • Exemplary interpersonal, organizational and project management skills
  • Preference will be given to those who have worked for or closely with a “big house” distributor. 
  • This position will work exclusively with our local distributor, JJ Taylor Distributing.
  • The rep must live in the assigned market and is expected to travel to the brewery weekly, at minimum.
