DIRECTOR OF SALES
Employment: Full-Time
Compensation: Salary 

The Gig:
Leads the strategic planning, budgeting, and execution of all sales and marketing initiatives
Develops and implements creative and effective sales strategies to achieve customer awareness and reach sales goals
Recommends brand priorities, product positioning, packaging and pricing strategy to produce highest possible long-term market share and stay competitive in the market
Oversees and evaluates market research and monitors competitors activities to adjust marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions
Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly
Assesses the performance of sales and marketing programs through sales & marketing team monthly one on ones and market visits
Meets with key accounts and assists Sales Managers by maintaining and growing relationships
Develops proposals and programs for current and prospective customers to secure new distribution and grow sales
Identifies and helps improve brewery processes to support market needs and foster effective communication
Identifies and implements best known methods for market management to ensure consistent and effective performance of Sales Managers
Provide leadership for team through ongoing development and training & collaboration to achieve goals
Work with brewery management to forecast annual sales and develop annual production plan

Distribution:
Work with Distribution Manager to oversee self-distribution network in New Jersey
Develops relationships with wholesalers
Supports distributor in on & off premise chain account management
Monitors and manages inventory at distributor to ensure timely sell-through
Manages and facilitates an effective Point of Sale system with distributor
Delivers a consistent company image presented throughout all products, promotional materials, and events
Establishes and implements the Annual Business Plan and Marketing Strategy
Ensures consistent implementation of process changes and brewery requirements with distributor
Establishes and implements new product rollout plans to leverage Sales Managers and distributor resources
Facilitates and ensures timely and effective communication to brewery and distributor about marketing initiatives

Qualifications:
BBA in business (MBA preferred)
Desire to share your knowledge & passion about the craft beer industry
Minimum of 7 years relevant industry experience (beer sales, marketing, and/or distributor management)
Business Acumen
Excellent Communication Skills
Customer Focused & Social Media savvy
