The Columbus Distributing Company is currently seeking candidates for a full-time Craft Brand Manager position in our craft beer division. This position will be based out of Columbus, Ohio and will have occasional travel. This person will need a deep understanding of the craft beer consumer, craft beer styles and industry trends.

 

The Craft Brand Manager is responsible, but not limited to the following:

  • Manage brand partnerships and build relationships with key decision makers
  • Building and executing business plans with assigned breweries
  • Create and monitor volume and distribution targets for our sales team derived from the business plans
  • Assisting in the creation of marketing and budgeting plans and overseeing the execution of those plans
  • Inventory and POS ordering and monitoring, including the creation of targeted pre-sell lists involving specialty, seasonal and one-off inventory
  • Conduct monthly or quarterly business review meetings with assigned brewers
  • Creation and execution of ride-with and team-sells with our general sales team
  • Assist with negotiating and developing brand partnerships and associations
  • Idea generation and content development across the marketing platforms of assigned brands
  • Track and monitor progress in all accounts and territories.  Increase brand visibility and pull-through rates within current accounts.
  • Participate in festivals and special events
  • Organize and conduct customer on premise tastings, pint nights, tap takeovers, beer dinners, and other relevant account support activities
  • Must be available to work night and weekend events on a regular basis

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Direct experience in wholesale beer distribution and/or brewer/supplier operations preferred
  • Passion for and knowledge of craft beer styles, beer judging criteria, trends, etc.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to rally and motivate internal and external customers
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple projects
  • Forward thinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions
  • Positive attitude and influence
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Responsibly active within social media platforms
  • A team player with a readiness to communicate often and effectively
  • Candidates must have a clean driving record and a reliable source of transportation
