The Eighth Annual Big Ass Tap Takeover with Avery Brewing at Parry’s Pizza returns Saturday, April 27!
Participating Parry’s will pour as many as 40 Avery beers ranging from beloved staples to highly sought-after, hard-to-find, discontinued, vintage or taproom-only brews like The Beast, Tweak, Uncle Jacob’s Stout, Beermosa, Demon series beers and Double Dry-Hopped Mahajara.
The two Colorado institutions are taking the event up another notch by introducing the first ever Parry’s and Avery’s collaboration beer, a unique sour blend, which pulls inspiration from Parry’s iconic NY-style pizzas. Avery reps will travel throughout the day to Parry’s locations and exclusive to Highlands Ranch, Northglenn and Longmont is a mini rare barrel-aged beer created just for the event. The Big Ass Tap Takeover is the official release party for Avery’s Double Digit, a hazy double IPA that will be hitting the market this spring.
From tapping 21 Avery beers at the first Big Ass Tap Takeover in 2012, to this year’s expected 40+ tappings, this event has become a can’t-miss event among craft beer aficionados. Taproom-only beers as well as retired and vintage selections will be released throughout the day – including Uncle Jacob’s Stout, Beermosa, Demon series beers and Double Dry-Hopped Mahajara. Avery reps will travel throughout the day to Parry’s locations, hitting Castle Rock for a kick-off toast, followed by stops at Highlands Ranch, SouthGlenn, Northglenn, Johnstown and Longmont. Exclusive to Highlands Ranch, Northglenn and Longmont is a mini rare barrel-aged beer created just for the event.
